A STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
Our goal at Little Angles Learning Center is to provide a safe, healthy and happy environment for your child with caring and competent staff. We will work along with you to help your child develop both emotionally and physically, and become more skilled in facing and solving the problems encountered in everyday life. To attain this goal, we will:
Provide a program that encourages creativity and imagination in each child using suitable, safe, and age-appropriate activities;
Provide a wide range of materials of interest to all age groups including books, hands-on materials, and games that encourage a desire to learn and develop fine and gross motor skills
Assist the children in developing an understanding of the world they live in;
Help each child develop self esteem through tasks and responsibilities with achievable goals;
Provide opportunities for the children to make choices;
Help the children learn to work, play, and share as part of a peer group and develop a respect for the rights of others as well as cultural diversity;
Establish reasonable behavior limits and consequences, and by using only constructive, positive discipline methods, encourage the development of self discipline;
Help each child find acceptable emotional outlets and learn to resolve conflicts;
Allow the children to participate in planning for their activities; and
Encourage the development of independence and self confidence in each child.

Parent Information
We feel it is very important to communicate with parents every day about their child. They need to hear good things about their child as well as bad. We will send home daily a report explaining how your child's day went. On this report we will tell you what mood your child was in, if they ate well, last time they were fed, if they napped and any other information that you need to hear. We will also verbally speak to you at the time you pick up your child.
Special announcements will be posted in your child's cubby and/or the bulletin board. Please check these often to be sure you do not miss important information.
If you have a question, it is best directed to your child's teacher. If you ask someone other than your child's regular teacher, you may not get all the information you need. If at any time you wish additional information, please do not hesitate to ask.
